How long have you been in business?
Sugar Shack Specialty Sweets has been in buisness since 2006.
What is your primary product or service?
Wedding cakes, Specialty Cake, Cupcakes, Brownies, Cookies, Cheese cakes, and Several more specialty desserts.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started baking when I was 2, my mom said if I was not in the kitchen with her I was in the back yard making mud pies. I was in sales and marketing for 15 years but my passion was always in baking. I was the to go person for all my friends bithdays and special occasions,one day my girl friend said "Why do you not have your own shop?" I quit my job and opened my first shopin 2006 and I have loved do this everyday since. I have based my buisness on customer service and custom designs. I believe any function, from a wedding to a intimate dinner with friends should reflect the stlye of the hostess.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I am not just a cup cake store, or just a cake bakery. When you come to our new store we offer all baked goods, homemade, fresh, and customized to the individuals event. If I do not carry what you would like to see at your event, I will try to make it. I value all my customers imput on what they would like to see in our shop.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I have one location in Swanton of S Main st and plan to expand to the Holland area next year.
